Food was nice. However vegetarian options and vegan options are rubbish. Such a shame as the location/ staff/ facilities/ food presentation are all excellent. I don't understand it as the side veggies are bright and beautifully fresh presumably from the farm... But starter was and absolutely tasteless mushroom risotto had to put loads of salt and pepper on to make it palatable. Food is very expensive so you would expect the food to be as good a quality as meat/fish options. Portion sizes are quite small - especially dessert. I ate a three course meal and could still snack and normally I would struggle to do all three.
We went for an afternoon tea to celebrate an elderly relative's birthday. The venue was lovely, they have a great selection of teas, many of which are aware winning, and I can say the jasmine tea was particularly excellent. The sandwiches were a little bland but the rest of it was excellent. The macaroons and scones were both rather above par.
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were top notch and it was so quiet and peaceful. My room was slightly away from the reception area however this wasn't a problem as a fleet of Tesla's were always on hand to shuttle you between between the restaurant / reception and my room. Would happily stay here again.
Visited the new "cowshed" for afternoon tea. Fabulous! Beautiful environment, staff where so helpful and polite.Cake selection where varied and all delicious. Best afternoon tea I have had to date. Highly recommend you visit.
Feels very remote but easy to find. Was there for work training and staff understood payment arrangements. Rooms are very spacious and unique. Mine was next to restaurant but was not disturbed by noise at all.
