Nice place but need a little more space and spaces but it's a nice place to chat and to look at the model pear tree outside
Ok place to stay if you're in town for a couple of days. Rooms are clean but if you get one that's above the pub on a party night, you're gonna be bothered by the noise. My room was on the other side of the building so very quiet and nice. A bit humid, but it's the UK, not the Gobi desert, so what can you expect? The pub downstairs is OK, typical country pub with the typical fauna, didn't appreciate the minimum 5pound for card payment, we're in 2018, who carries cash anymore? Another strange incovinience is that there is no check-in before 14, as the pub itself opens at 11, so everything is locked before that time. Plenty of parking space on the property.
Way better understanding current management. Perfect for a drunken Friday night out.
Place is fine it's just a typical local pub. We stayed in rooms which were of a good standard (newly decorated) but I found it odd to have to go to the car park and up steel stairs to the room. The food wasn't all that good and it's a shame they didn't do breakfast.
Well, this tough. It is big pub and outside looks inviting however when inside out is cavernous and empty. The is no atmosphere, no character and the while place lacks any love. On top of that the beer is very expensive and when you pay by card that charge an extra 20p and they try not to give you a receipt so they can hide this. Not very nice. Make up you own mind about this place......
