Great friendly service from professionals. I took my car on a 1.5hr trip to Saabtech as the previous owners have always taken it here. On research I had heard very good things, and have also bought a few bits from Ian before, seemed v genuine. I have to say the certainly met my expectations, sorted out issues with the car, provided a full inspection, and being paranoid as I am were extremely patient and responsive to my endless questions! The trip was worth it, and i will be taking my other saabs up here in the future. Thanks
I have been a Saab owner for years. During that time I have never trusted anyone more than Ian and his team. They care and have a huge understanding of everything Saab. For example, when I pick up my 93 from them Im surprised that details I didnt mention were taken care of as part of the service. To me thats the definition of service. The reason I bought into Saab was for safety - the reason I use Saabtech (and Ian) is the same, I feel my car is in safe hands.

Yesterday was my first experience of using Saabtech Welwyn Garden City. Beforehand I wondered whether using a specialist garage might mean a very high bill and concern of being bamboozled with technical language in a bid to make me have lots of extra jobs done that I wasn't planning! I need not have worried as I have been extremely impressed with the whole experience. I thought I had a problem with my air conditioning but a quick look by Ian the owner when I popped in just to enquire, soon identified that this wasn't the problem at all. The problem was identified and resolved and at a fair price. i was kept informed throughout. What struck me was the knowledge and professionalism of everyone I dealt with at Saabtech. I believe that both Ian and Martin (a lovely and very knowledgeable chap on reception)have over 30 years each experience of dealing with Saabs and that knowledge is obvious. It means they can identify problems quickly which isn't always the case elsewhere where you may end up paying for things that don't always fix the problem! Everyone there was pleasant and helpful. Even the young chap who gave me a lift into town while the job was being done was smiley and chatty. I would certainly use them again. As well as their knowledge and fair prices, I liked the fact that they seem a thoroughly decent firm who genuinely want to give good service and who you can trust. Thank you to the whole team.
A good SAAB independent. Customer service is good and it's always easy to arrange appointments, delivery/collection and updates on your car. Good waiting times for MOTS, servicing or repairs with low waiting times for parts. Pricing is towards the premium end of the scale but as SAAB independents are thin on the ground, there is no official dealer network left and it is a luxury car brand I feel that the pricing is justified. I have noted the mechanics take time to evaluate the car and note anything that must be replaced but also take the time to note work that may need to be done soon and and even list part numbers for cosmetic items (such as faded emblems or missing items) should you wish to want to keep your car in the best possible condition. Overall they give the service and quality usually expected from a main franchise dealership rather than just being an average garage with specialist knowledge of a particular brand. Highly recommended have used for a long time
