Lady serving was very sarcastic when we asked to add less blackcurrant to Guinness. No need for that. Be nice. Simple. Shame as it could have been our local. First impressions counts.Two stars just for the fire place :)
Always so friendly and helpful in here! I need to be gluten free (coeliac) and there is a good sized menu from which I can choose. The staff are so knowledgeable and Ive now eaten here numerous times and not been ill. Would highly recommend!!

Consistently good food, well presented and plenty of it. Beef tender and veg and roasties just right. Yorkshires perfect. Friendly and helpful staff and nice surroundings. Would recommend North Star for good food without breaking the bank.
One of the nicest and mostly beautiful pubs in the area. Place is warm and spacious, the staff is friendly, the food is great and way better than the usual pub food. You won't be disappointed
